On Friday 7th March, Big Breakfast Plus were presented with their much deserved award. They were given The King’s Award for Voluntary Service. They gathered in the cafe in The Pilgrim Centre for the occasion. This is where they serve up to one hundred breakfasts every day. The presentation was made by the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Dame Sarah Troughton. Also in attendance were the Mayor of Swindon, Cllr Imtiyaz Shaikh, and MP for Swindon South, Heidi Alexander. They can be seen in the photo, along with our minister Revd Jonathan Edwards, the volunteers, and the Chair, and previous Chair of Trustees, James and Charlotte. On the far right is Wayne who keeps it all going on a day to day basis.
