Tuesday Fellowship: We meet for an hour on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at 2.30 p.m. from September through to June. The first meeting of the month is usually a devotional, led by local ministers or lay preachers; the 2nd meeting of the month we normally have a speaker who will talk to us about a particular charity (local, national or international), or perhaps their leisure interest.
Wednesday Circle: We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings each month from September to June at 7.30 p.m. We have speakers from various charities who come along and tell us about the work of that charity. On occasion we will organise our own entertainment, for example, we might have a quiz night or a beetle drive.
Croquet on the lawn during Wednesday Circle Summer Coffee Evening
During July and August, we meet in members’ homes for a coffee evening when we donate our collections to a charity that we might have heard about during the year.
Bible Study: A mixed group of people from our own church, from other churches, and some with no church affiliation, meet to read the Bible and discuss topics as varied as ‘women in the Bible’, ‘questions of faith’ – and everything in between! We are always happy for new people to join the group. You don’t have to be a church member. All you need is an open and enquiring mind.
Prayer Group: A group meets on the last Thursday of alternate months, starting in January, to pray for individuals who need our support whether they be physically ill, living with psychological problems or going through difficult times. We have a leaflet which is distributed to interested members of the congregation but everything said in the group is confidential.
Pastoral Group: We meet alternate months, usually on a Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 p.m., to discuss situations and pastoral needs of church members and friends. We organise social events of the church and Christmas gifts for our housebound members. In addition, we select a charity for our Christmas appeal.
World Church Group: World Church Group meets three times a year. It exists to keep the congregation aware of international matters that should be of concern to us and invite people to speak on these topics either during a Sunday service or at a midweek meeting. The group organizes charity collections throughout the year.
